The impact of the graphic design of Iraqi stamps on identity and heritage from the second half of the 20th century

The study examines the importance of reviving the identity and heritage of Iraq through the graphic design of Iraqi stamps and the vital role of these stamps in recording, documenting, and introducing the world to cultural and civilizational heritage. The research was divided into a group of chapters and topics. The first chapter dealt with the research problem, its importance, objectives, questions, and hypotheses, and the approach followed in the research. The second chapter was devoted to the theoretical framework, which is based on references and scientific sources, with a set of indicators that are in the interest of the results and conclusions of the research. The descriptive analytical approach was relied upon to ensure accuracy and objectivity, consistent with the objectives of the study. The third chapter examines the research procedures by selecting the research community and its samples and the tools used in the analytical study, ensuring its validity and reliability, and analyzing the selected research samples according to the analysis form. The fourth chapter reviewed the results of the research and its conclusions, the most important of which was: that there was a development in the selection of topics and design ideas, which was certainly reflected in the design of the Iraqi character in form and content. The Iraqi postal stamp could give an accurate picture of Iraq's history, heritage, and identity through its design.
