Institutionalization process of the family construction companies

In this study, characteristics, cultural and management structures, process of progression, their places in the international and local situations of the family companies are examined; the importance, benefits, difficulties, advantages and disadvantages of their institutionalization are explained, the differences which separate them from the other companies are explored, the means of Project management systems are outlined, a sample route map which can be a guide to family companies in the construction field is created and the interviews with the family companies in construction field are presented. Findings of this study show that institutionalization is not an inaccessible process. Providing that its methods and timing are outlined carefully, the institutionalization of a family construction company has many benefits both for the company and the family. The family construction companies, improving with the institutionalization, will have numerous contributions to the national economy and employment.
