Abstract (EN)

The aim of the thesis named Human Philosophy and States of Existence -A Study on S. Kierkegaard and T. Mengüşoğlu; Based on the states of existence presented by Kierkegaard, an existentialist philosopher, it is to present the ways of transitioning to a higher state of existence by enabling the determination of the life style that people live as a result of the choices they have made in the universe. Although a person is born with many talents, according to Kant, these abilities are in an unprocessed form in the individual. Takiyettin Mengüşoğlu, on the other hand, presents how these abilities, which he calls phenomena, should be processed in his book called Human Philosophy. The human being who exists in the universe is to know, to value, to do, to foresee and to determine, to take a stand, to be a free and historical being, to want, to idealize, to give himself to something, to educate and be educated, to work, to believe, to speak, By activating these phenomena, which are inherently passive, such as establishing a state, they choose the most suitable state of existence for them, and they pass to a higher state of existence by developing these phenomena. Taking into account the phenomenon of establishing a state, which is also a carrier of other phenomena, it is desired to determine which lifestyle is more appropriate. As a result of the examinations, it is seen that the state of existence, which represents the universal, which Kierkegaard calls ethics, is more suitable for people to survive in society.
