Does human life be more determined by genetic transmission or cultural memes?

The science of memetics, which has emerged in recent years, makes significant contributions to studies aimed at understanding humans. The aim of this thesis is to draw attention to the discipline of memetics, which offers an alternative to genetic explanations, and to reveal that today, memes determine human life more than genes. In this study, it is claimed that human socialization and creation of cultures, rather than human biological structure and genetic transfer, shape the architecture of the human brain and direct the future of humans. While genetic transfer determines all behavior, nutrition, shelter, reproduction, in short, the entire life of a member of the species, especially for non-human species, the human species has gone far beyond genetic transfer and created a cultural world beyond the biological world. Dawkins coined the concept of "meme" to express the transmission of culture as an alternative to genetic transmission. In this thesis, the explanatory nature of the theory of evolution in human life is revealed, but it is argued that human behavior is not determined solely by genetic transmission. At this point, attention is drawn to the decisiveness of memetics, proposed by Dawkins and later adopted by important theorists of mind such as Dennett, Blackmore and Aunger, in the development of the human mind. Memes, just like genes, reside and reproduce in living organisms, but unlike genes, they only reside and reproduce in humans. They try to survive by competing with each other. Just as genes change the biological structure of people, memes change the mental architecture of people and the cultural world of human societies. As a result, although genes constitute the basic architecture of humans, memes have created a cultural world on this basis that cannot be reduced to biology.
