Abstract (EN)
The effect of apelin on testis morphology in male mice given a high-calorie diet is examined in this thesis. Apelin is a peptide associated with the control of metabolism, heart function and other physiological functions. Less research has been done on its impact on testicular morphology, especially when metabolic stress brought on by diet is involved. To create metabolic changes similar to those seen in human obesity, male mice were fed a high-calorie diet. After apelin was administered, testicular tissues were histologically analyzed to look at factors like Leydig cell activity, germ cell population, and seminiferous tubule diameter. According to the findings, administering apelin while following a high-calorie diet may lessen some negative effects on testicular morphology, indicating a possible protective function. The significance of apelin in reproductive health in the face of metabolic disorders is highlighted by these findings, which also help to clarify its wider physiological implications. Clarifying the underlying mechanisms and therapeutic implications of apelin in reproductive physiology under metabolic stress conditions may be the main focus of future research.
