Determination of the effect of work-family conflict, organizational commitment and burnout's factors on life satisfaction

Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is examining effects of factors such as work-family conflict, emotional commitment and Burnout on the life satisfaction of employees. The main audience of this research consists of white collar personnel working in the manufacturing sector in Kayseri province. Within the scope of the research, 254 questionnaire forms, which are believed to be filled out sincerely by the participants, were evaluated. Life Satisfaction scale, Work-Family Conflict scale, Allen Mayer Emotional Commitment scale, Burnout scale and demographic information of the participants were included on the questionnaire form.In the first part of the study, life satisfaction, the factors affecting this satisfaction and life satisfaction theories were discussed. In the second part, the basic concepts of work-family conflict, types of conflict, approaches to this issue and the consequences of conflict are examined. In the third part, organizational commitment, the factors affecting this commitment and its consequences were evaluated. In the fourth part, the theoretical framework has been completed by considering Burnout, symptoms, Burnout models, comparison of these models and methods of coping with the factors leading to Burnout in detail. In the fifth part, the effects of work-family conflict, emotional commitment and burnout on life satisfaction were examined through questionnaire forms. The research model was tested with methods such as frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis, t-test analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results revealed that work-family conflict and burnout had negative significant effects on life satisfaction, while organizational commitment (affective commitment) did not have a significant effect on life satisfaction.
