Abstract (EN)

An important part of OSH, and also an important tool, is risk prevention, which is a broad concept both in scope and application. The starting point for preventing risks related to OHS is risk assessment. The OHS Law in Turkey obliges employers to conduct a risk assessment regardless of workplace activities, size or structure. Risk assessment is a fundamental and important tool for both employees and employers to comprehensively understand how to deal with identified hazards and to determine safety measures by classifying and prioritizing different risk elements in the workplace within the limits of legal regulations. Especially in vocational and technical education units, the number of which has increased rapidly in recent years, it becomes important to evaluate the education and administrative buildings in terms of occupational safety, to control them and to eliminate the deficiencies. In this study, the risks were analyzed by using the L type (5x5) matrix risk analysis method in a vocational training unit as an effort to prevent and control the risks of occupational accidents in the fields of vocational education and practice. The purpose of this risk analysis carried out in the study is to determine the potential hazards that may occur in vocational training areas and the risks associated with them, to control the potential risks and thus to contribute to the reduction of occupational accidents.
