Investigation of burnout of occupational physicians' burnout, Mersin province example

In this study, it was aimed to examine the views of workplace physicians working in Mersin on burnout and job satisfaction levels. In line with the purpose of the research, which is a descriptive survey study in the type of quantitative research; The sample of the study consists of 60 workplace physicians selected by random sampling method from the workplace physicians serving in Mersin in 2021. The data were obtained by using the "Maslach Burnout Scale and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale" to determine the burnout and job satisfaction levels of workplace physicians in line with the researches in the literature. The Maslach Burnout Scale consists of 22 items and 3 dimensions, while the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale consists of 20 items and 2 dimensions. The obtained data were analyzed with SPSS statistical package program. In the analysis of data; While evaluating the burnout and job satisfaction levels of workplace physicians; The t-test, Kruskal Wallis, Mann-Wihtney U, and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were used. According to the results of the research; It was determined that there was a negative significant relationship between burnout level, emotional exhaustion and depersonalization sub-dimensions and job satisfaction level and sub-dimensions, and a positive relationship between personal achievement sub-dimension and satisfaction level and sub-dimensions.
