Abstract (EN)
In endogeneous growth models, providing sustainable growth, and in order to converging devoloping countries on developed countries, investment in human capital have critical importance. The most important way as to enhancing human capital accumulation is education. Education leads to emerging of technological innovations, advancing labour productivity, and consequently boosting international competitive power and economic growth.Within this framework, in the study, it is tried to put forward that factors come into prominence in endogeneous growth theories such as human capital, education, research-development in OECD countries between 2003 and 2017 contributed to labour productivity and thereby economic growth process. As a result of panel granger causality analysis made in the line with this objective it is observed that education and human capital which have critical importance in endogeneous growth theories come into prominence, and lead to both labour productivity and economic growth. For this reason in order to provide sustainable growth it is essential that the government take necessary measures to enhance human capital level, and to reflect the positive result of this enhanced human capital level to the economy. In this context, generalizing education in society and enhancing its quality, encouraging research-development activities, inducing both domestic and international investments for innovation are important. v Keywords: Education, Human Capital, Labour Productivity, Economic Growth.
