Abstract (EN)
In this study, companies? board structure, process and its impact on performance are analysed. In this context, boards of firms operating in Denizli in August 2009 are chosen and questionnaire is applied to 40 board members.Data is analysed by SPSS 17,0. According to findings, when the number of board members and the number of annual meetings of boards increase, firm performance increase. In addition to this, if board chairman is not the founder of company, the firm performance also increase.The finding shows that the performance of family-owned businesses is significantly less than that of other businesses which are not family-owned businesses.Finally, CEO?chairman duality has negatif impact on firm performans.
