Abstract (EN)

The motive behind choosing 'The Role and Importance of Tax Revenues in Consistent Economic Development', as my thesis subject, was to investigate the relation between tax revenue and the development. In an developing country, the public sector which is the only power having the ability to ensure economic development needs satable financial sources for the expenditures during the developing process. Debt and emission are also the revenues of the state. In developing countries, the states were directed to explore more confident revenues as their ability depends considerably on several assumptions in providing the finances for development. By this way, tax revenues which are gained by public taxation authority do not only supply adequate income for public expenditures, but also are used for the achivement of both tax revenues and economic development. As matter of fact, by means of my study in which this reality was closely examined using the developing plans and tax revenue statistics from the historical point of view for Turkey, it can be stated easily that there is asignificant interaction between developing process and the tax revenues from the foundation of the young republic up to the present time.
