Abstract (EN)

The subject of the study is the scope of the coverage in terms of the general terms of employer's liability insurance. Employer's liability insurance insures the legal liability of the employer arising from an occupational accident. The main risk in employer's liability insurance is the occupational accident. As a rule, the damages incurred by the employee or his/her beneficiaries in the event of the death of the employee because of an occupational accident are covered by the Social Security Institution. However, the benefits or payments made by the Social Security Institution are often not sufficient to cover the damages incurred by the worker or his beneficiaries. For this reason, with the employer's liability insurance, the employer benefits from the insurance assurance up to the amount written in the insurance policy in the face of compensation claims that are above or outside the benefits provided by the Social Security Institution and compensation claims related to the recourse lawsuits by the Social Security Institution.
