The research of aggressiveness levels with gender role of female athletes

Abstract (EN)

This research was conducted to determine the relationship between gender role characteristics and aggression level in terms of various variables. The sample of the study consists of 137 female athletes by licence who perform sports in amateur and professional clubs in Ankara. Personal Information Form developed by the researcher and Aggressiveness Inventory developed by İpek İlter (Kiper) and Gender Roles Inventory developed by BEM were used as data collection tools. In the analysis of the data of the study, independent groups t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in parametric distributions and Tukey HSD, which is the second level test, was used for ANOVA analysis. According to the results of the study, a positive relationship was found between femininity attitude and destructive, passive and general aggression. With the growth of athletes' ages, a decrease in the level of aggression was determined. The lowest gender role scores were determined by female athletes with the highest experience as a sports year.
