Abstract (EN)

In this study, it determined firstly the socio-economic and demographic characteristics of women who use micro credits, awareness of women related to micro-credit, the purposes of using micro-credit of women and what kind of job women do with micro-credit.in Iğdır Province. It was later revealed that whether the micro-credit contributed to the changes in the income levels and social life of the women, whether the micro-credit contributed to the employment, and finally, it stated what kind of problems women encounter in their micro-credit applications. According to the results of the research, it was determined that women using micro credits in Iğdır province were greatly satisfied with the application, and that micro credit application provided important contributions to economic and social life. However, ıt showed that some problems such as the amount of credit given in the application of micro-credit, and they encountered some problems such as inadequate micro-credit amount, Inadequate informing of women about micro credit applications by public institutions and professional organizations, the low ratio of micro-credit beneficiaries of agriculture-based products in the Igdır economy.
