Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the effects of multi-color interference and inter-symbol interference on the performance of color shift keying modulation, caused by the blue shift properties of optical filters and multipath, were analyzed, and to suppress these effects, a novel adaptive equalizer structure was proposed. BER performances of the methods in the literature and the one proposed herein were obtained by extensive simulations, then comprehensive comparisons were drawn to evaluate the capability of the proposed method. In the simulation studies, firstly, the structural variability in the multi-color visible light channel for CSK, caused by the passband edges of the optical filters and the receiver positions, was analyzed. Also, the Color Calibration method identified on IEEE 802.15.7 standard, the Filter Bank structure used in literature, and adaptive equalizer structure proposed in this study were compared in terms of the average BER performance according to transmitter power, and the BER distribution in the created indoor model. Finally, CSK capability was analyzed at high switching frequency and on color selective environment.
