Fish were transported to Kastamonu University Fisheries Faculty Research Laboratory using transport bags following their capture and then started to investigate. Fish length and weight were measured before parasitological examination. Body cavity, gills, mouth and internal organs of fish were investigated for parasites. Liver and intestine were excised by a forcep and then examined using microscope. At the end of the investigation, Anisakis simplex and Anisakis pegreffii belonging to the genus Anisakis, phylum Nemathelminthes were identified. Good cooking of fish caught in this region will prevent health problems.
