Abstract (EN)
The synthesis of heterocyclic compounds having different functional groups plays an important role in organic chemistry. Heterocyclic compounds constitute the key structure of many natural compounds and active pharmaceutical ingredients. Although there are different methods for the synthesis, carbene transfer reactions of diazo compounds in the presence of metal catalysts are highly advantageous for the synthesis of the targeted compounds with a single step. By using conjugated carbonyl compounds as substrates, targeted synthesis of different heterocyclic compounds is possible depending on the type of catalyst and reaction conditions used. In this thesis, the reactions of α, β-conjugated amides containing different functional groups with suitable conformations in the presence of ethyl diazoacetate and rhodium acetate catalyst were investigated and reaction products were evaluated. After the reactions, the products are expected to be formed, in particular, by 1,5-electrocyclic ring closure, [2 + 1] cyclocation (cyclopropanation) or C-H insertion reactions. The aim of the study is to understand which reactions are preferred depending on the functional groups of the conjugated amide and conditions, to characterize the products formed and to synthesize new derivatives with biological activity potential, which have not been previously reported in the literature.
