Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out in order to reveal the physicochemical properties of located in the borders of Karkamış Dam Lake Sanliurfa and Gaziantep. At Karkamış Dam Lake, water samples were taken at surface and different depths in 5 stations determined between January-December 2015. The water samples taken throughout the year (Minimum, average, maximum) temperature (9,4-14,3-21,6 oC), pH (7,8-8,4-9,1), dissolved oxygen (9-10-11,8 mg/L), electrical conductivity (251-332-412 µS/cm) ammonium (0,003-0,069-0,194 mg NH4+-N/L), nitrogen (1,549-2,292-3,473 mg NO3-N/L), nitrite (0,001-0,006-0,053 mg NO2-N/L), orthophosphate phosphorus (0,007-0,034-0,076 mg PO4/L), total nitrogen (0,722-1,154-1,696 mg N/L), total phosphorus (0,007-0,016-0,026 mg P/L) were found. As a result, Karkamış Dam Lake, Superior Water Quality Management Regulation According to the quality criteria according to the classes of the inland water resources, it is determined that the first class is in the high quality water class.
