Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the fluid losses of ski running athletes on training and competition days. 14 male and 4 female athletes between the ages of 14-17 and registered to Arkut Athlete Training Center, who participated in the Turkish Ski Federation's Ski Running Turkey Championship in the 2020-2021 season, participated in the research. The average age of the athletes participating in the research was 14.94 +-3 years, average height was 161.78+-0.29 cm, average body weight was 49.57+-34.50 kg, and average body mass index was 18.81+-6.30 BMI. Afterwards, the athletes were informed that they should note the amount of water they drink during the day, that urine measurements will be taken without consuming any liquid before consuming any liquid when they wake up, before the training starts and immediately after the training, and this application will be done uninterruptedly for three (3) days. The ShapiroWilk test was used to determine whether the data obtained as a result of the research showed a normal distribution. Paired Samples T test was applied to reveal the difference of the data between the measurements. Independent Samples T test was applied to reveal the difference between data before and after training. All statistical analyzes were processed in SPSS 22 package program and p<0.05 confidence interval.
