Abstract (EN)
In this study, morphometric measurements were taken and compared with eachother of healthy feline kidneys using radiography, ultrasonography and magneticresonance. Mean ages 29.90 ± 14.13 months and mean weight 3.65± 0.75 kg of 10 malesand 10 females healthy Persian cats were examined. Anesthesia was not necessary forradiology and ultrasonography. But prior to MRI, the combination of metetopimidin HCl(Domitor®, Pfizer) 0.08 ml/kg ? ketamine (Ketasol®, nterhas) 6 mg/kg were injectedintramusculary. After the cats had been placed dorsal recumbency position and stabilizedon the table, the images of kidney were taken. The maximum length, widht and volume of right and left kidneys were measured inimages which were taken by different imaging techniques. These measurements werecomparatively considered with statistical methods. In conclusion, the data of healthy felinekidneys which measured by different visualization techniques and differences of data weredetermined.Key words: Cat, Kidney, Morphometry
