Abstract (EN)

Urban rail transport systems have an important place in public transport systems in large and crowded cities, especially in developed countries. Rail system projects require a very high resource for the realization. In the realization of these investments to be made, making the right decision is as important as the evaluation process. It is often not possible to determine which expectations a rail system planned to be built will meet or whether they meet the expectations planned during operation. A correction due to an error in the selection of rail system projects is close to the initial investment costs. For this reason, negative factors in the form of both additional costs and loss of time and operation may occur. With this thesis, it is aimed to contribute to the selection of rail system investments and also to present a different idea to improve the selection method by preventing an uncertainty in urban rail systems investments. In the second part of the thesis, a new approach is proposed to reach an occupational health and safety risk assessment method, which is thought to be more beneficial and with better results for occupational health and safety.
