Abstract (EN)
Cities are settlement areas where people come together and continue their daily lives. As a result of rapid urbanization, the population has increased and cities have undergone changes. Cities that change themselves and provide suitable conditions in line with demands and needs; started to disrupt the ecological balance, causing the depletion of nature and natural resources. The balance between nature and the city has deteriorated, and the use of limited and depleted energy resources has made it necessary to protect the existing energy. In this sense, urban open green spaces are the most suitable areas to use energy effectively. Approaches aiming to use energy effectively in line with planning and design decisions in urban open green spaces have begun to be considered in the principle of sustainability in cities. While the urban equipment elements, which are tools for realizing the activities of people in urban open green spaces, provide minimal contribution to the city and spaces aesthetically, they do not contribute to the city and nature ecologically. Within the scope of this study, while providing ecological contributions to nature in campuses as urban open spaces, modern equipment elements were designed with comfort and aesthetic concern for the user. While adding aesthetics and comfort to urban open spaces in accordance with the needs and space capacity, modern equipment that can provide ecological benefits to the city and transform the energy obtained from renewable energy sources to the user with its energy-efficient design, energy-efficient urban furniture is designed as a part of the KTU Kanuni campus and the energy produced is energy efficient. has been revealed. Storage units are planned within the urban furniture systems so that the energy produced from solar energy, wind energy and kinetic energy can be used in the lighting elements, charging stations, information boards, and Wi-fi distribution points in the system. The designed urban furniture can be produced by themselves, stored and used by themselves.
