Abstract (EN)

Cities must constantly be in a transformation in order to meet the daily expectations and needs of the users in the face of their daily lives. In other words, while urban spaces are shaped according to the needs of the users, they also constitute the basis of a continuous transformation by affecting the users. Therefore, rhythms in daily life creates many stratification in terms of time, spatial and social. Temporary and permanent rhythms that exist in social and daily life include the usability of the space. In this direction, the spatial living conditions that change with the effect of urban transformation, imposing or creating new rhythms instead of the rhythms that they are accustomed to, create multi-dimensional problems and opportunities. Therefore, throughout the study, before and after urban transformation, answers are sought to questions such as how the existing daily rhythms of the urbanites change and how the citizens adapt to this change. In this study, BY combining the concept of urban transformation with the concept of "Ritimanalysis" introduced by Lefebvre (2017), the effects of urban transformation projects are aimed to be understood. The main purpose of the rhythm analysis of daily life that changes with urban transformation is to determine the rhythmical values that change in the daily life of people living in cities as a result of urban transformation, and what effects occur as a result of these changes. In this framework, the changing values of urban transformation on the daily lives of its users are explained by looking at the changing rhythmical movements with urban transformation. The study was analyzed that based on concrete analysis data by mapping the areas they experienced as a result of in-depth interviews with the participants. Changes in the daily life of the 11 selected participants vary according to the tenant-owner or male-female criteria. As a result, it has been determined that the places and social relations experienced by the users in general decrease. As a result, rather than collective actions, actions to be taken individually are included. Therefore, measuring the spatial and temporal values that exist for the users before urban transformation will contribute significantly to the design of new spaces for the post-urban transformation and the transfer of social relations to these spaces. In this way, a different perspective will be gained to urban transformation projects through changing rhythmic values. On the other hand, this study will contribute to important policy inputs regarding the decision-making process in urban transformation projects, based on the findings of the users' daily life, temporal and spatial experiences in urban transformation areas.
