Keywords: Antibacterial, CalciumPhosphate, Hydroxyapatite, SprayDryerIn recent years, hydroxyapatite is one of the important biometarial which is used for orthopedical, dental implant applications. It is provided that hydroxyapatite which is coated Ti alloys or stainless steel let bone crystal grow up on them. Hence; some ions can be added on synthetic hydroxyapatite, ions increase mechanical and bacterial properties.In this thesis, the aims are producing the hydroxyapatite powder which is bone mineral, adding silver ions to structure for anti-bacterail properties and reforming the powder shape to use at plasma spray coatings technique. Constant test environment and variable parameters are chosen same because of comparing theproducts. It is analyzed with some tests to decide the powder is acceptable or not.Pure and antibacterial hydroxyapatite powders were produced. %1 silver added hydroxyapatite have %100 antibacterial impact against 4 bacterial species. The optimal parameters for spray drying are 175 oC inlet temperature and 1,5 bar pressure for ethanol solutions, 190 oC inlet temperature and 1,5 bar pressure for pure water solutions and 205 oC inlet temperature and 1,5 bar pressure for silver added hydroxyapatite solutions.
