Abstract (EN)
Human beings wish to live a happy life with the loved ones in the world. However human come upon variety of sad and painful things besides events that make him happy in his entire life. One of the foremost of these situations that make him unhappy is being disabled himself or somebody in his family. Disability phenomenon is one of the oldest and most important problems of humanity from past to present. Throughout the history humans have tried to understand and make sense of the disability. In this quest of sensing, religions and scriptures have had significant effects and benefits. Because religion plays a significant role in the attitudes and behaviors of people and in the formation of their mentality. For this reason, what the Bible says on this subject, which contains the sacred texts of Judaism and Christianity, two major religions that have an important place in terms of both population and influence in the world, is of great importance. The discourses of the Bible on this subject will not only determine the point of view of its members on the phenomenon of disability but will also have an impact on members of other religions today, when communication and interaction accelerated. In the first part of this four-part study, after giving information about the Bible, we mentioned about the disability and its types. In the second part, after discussing the theological background of the disability phenomenon based on the Bible, in the third part, in the Old Testament and in the fourth part we deeply examined the sections about the disabled people written in the New Testament.
