Abstract (EN)
Aluminum foams are structures that consist of voids for a large part of their structure. It has a hollow structure that makes it lighter in the same volume. The hollow structure has been the subject of recent application researches since it increases impact damping, provides lightness, damps vibration, provides sound and heat insulation especially in closed cells and imparts non-flammability. In this study, we inform the reader about production methods and application areas of metal foams. The use of aluminum foam instead of styrofoam foam in truck haulages and trailers is analyzed. With that, it is aimed to produce more durable, fireproof, sound insulation, more mass production and full recyclability.
