Korovkin type approximation theorems in modular spaces

This thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter has been devoted to the introduction. In chapter two, the basic concepts of modular spaces and approximation theory have been recalled and some results concerning these concepts have also been considered. In chapter three, the extension of classical Korovkin approximation theorem has been exami-\linebreak ned in modular spaces. In the final chapter, some applications to discrete operators of the results given in chapter 3 have been considered.
