Abstract (EN)

In spite of the different effects and the results it brings, globalization reaches the most remote corners of the world and day by day it is rather difficult not to take the advantages of it. Multinational Companies choose countries due to certain reasons to make foreign direct investments, that are also seen as a partial advantage of the globalization. Due to such externalities like significant employment, production and technology transfer they form, are enough to ignore the negative effects they create in potential countries for investment the conditions they are looking for are carefully treated. To provide this conditions, countries try various incentives and regulations that will attract this investments. Transition economies faced economic, political and structural changes along with the the problems related to the lack of resources being involved in global economy, that they tried to eliminate with the help of different policies they implemented. During this process, the impression that they created today, in the framework of the economic conditions they reached, the dependence on foreign investment is undiminished. Therefore, foreign direct investment incentives and the course of the regulations in this respect in Central Asia and particularly the focus of research, in Kyrgyzstan can be shown as an important issue. In the first part of the thesis, theoretical issues connected with foreign direct investments and incentives are discussed. In the eye of this information, the second part of the thesis tells about structural and economic reforms that they have experienced and about their common characteristics after they gained independence and its aimed to provide information about the foreign direct investments, incentives and the tax systems of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. İn the last part of the thesis, in general terms of developments in tax legislation and Kyrgyzstan's general state, has been made a try to evaluate the potential for attracting foreign invetments. Taking into account the political and economic situation; current data, tax systems, incentives and stuctural properties of the countries that were investigated, it was aimed to make a comparison over the country profile.
