Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out to determine the effects of different row spacings on some morphological and agronomic traits of some promising sorghum and sorghum x sudan grass hybrid cultivars (Gözde 80, Sugar Graze and Greengo) under Kırşehir ecological conditions in 2018. This trial was established as a randomized complete block design with three replications. The plant height, number of leaves, single plant height, panicle weight, panicle ratio, the number of days to blooming, crude protein ratio, ADF and NDF ratio of sorghum, sorghum-sudangrass hybrid cultivars were determined between 196.7-21.0 cm, 6.3-9.6 pcs/plant, 466.7-556.7 g, 32.0-41.6, 7.9-10.9 %, 69.0-72.0 day, 11.7-13.5 %, 37.4-39.2 % and % 46.4-53.2 %, respectively. The highest green forage and dry matter yields were observed for cultivar Greengo in 15 cm row spacing as 9311.1 kg/da and 3325.1 kg/da, the lowest green forage and dry matter yield were obtained from cultivar Gözde-80 in 60 cm as spacing with 3444.4 and 1272.6 kg/da. According to the results, it was found that, cultivar Greengo with 15 cm row spacing had the best performance in terms of green forage yield, dry matter yield and crude protein content in Kırşehir ecological conditions
