Abstract (EN)
In this study, the effects of different times (autumn and spring) and increasing doses of sulfur (0, 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120 ve 140 kg/da) on yield and qality traits of the oat (Avena sativa L.) were investigated. The experiment was carried out in the 2016-2017 vegetation period in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture of Yozgat Bozok University, in split plot design with three replications. In the study, plant height, hay yield, crude protein ratio, protein yield, ADF, NDF ratio and mineral content (K, P, Ca and Mg) were investigated. According to the results obtained in the study, the highest hay and protein yield in oat were obtained from 40 and 80 kg/da sulfur, and 40 kg/da sulfur dose can be recommended when fertilizer prices are taken into consideration. Besides, it is concluded that sulfur fertilizer applied in autumn is better than spring in terms of all properties of oat investigated in this study. Key words: Oat, sulfur, hay yield, qality
