Terms of Qur'anic spience and exegesis the surah Noah interpretation

Numerous studies on the Qur'an, which is in the top of the hierarchy of Islamic sources, have been conducted throughout history. These studies are divided into two main categories as studies of "ulum al-Qur'an / Sciences of the Qur'an" and studies of "exegesis / interpretation". By referring to these categories, this study aims at ex-ploring the Surah Noah in terms of ulum al-Qur'an and tafsir disciplines. This thesis consists of an introduction, two main parts and a conclusion. In the intro-duction, the subject of the research, its importance and purpose, and method of study are explained. This chapter also provides a brief information on the sources of the study and their authors. The first chapter is dedicated to the issue of the Su-rah Noah in terms of the Sciences of the Qur'an. In this chapter, the Surah Noah is analysed in terms of the works of ulum al-Qur'ân. The Surah Noah is also examined in terms of being a Qur'anic story in this chapter. The first chapter is concluded with its structural analysis. The second chapter is allocated to ana-lyse the exegesis and interpretation of the Surah Noah. The Surah is divided into four main parts: i) Surah of Noah, Noah's People and The Prophet Noah, ii) Prophethood and Communication (1-4. Verses), iii) Presenting The Situation of The Society to God and The Method of Invitation (5-20. Verses) , iv) Complain-ing to God and Idols (21-25. Verses), v) Prayers and Wishes of Noah (26-28. Vers-es). This chapter also includes (different) approaches regarding the Surah Noah and its interpretations in classical and contemporary tafsir corpus. The thesis is conclud-ed with addressing general resûlts reached in this research.
