Quran recitation and music

The correct and beautiful performance of Qur'anic recitation is of great importance in terms of content and presentation. The Qur'an recited correctly and beautifully ensures that the meaning is understood correctly and provides an emotional and spiritual experience to the listeners. Therefore, the balance between content and presentation is important. In the present study, the importance of adhering to the rules of tajweed and tertīl during the recitation of Quran as well as beautifying and embellishing the voice is emphasized and the issue of how modern technological opportunities can be used during the recitation of the Quran is discussed. The research consists of three main parts. In the first part, some information about the historical process of the concept of religious music and the nature of religious music is given. In the second part, the types of recitation and the rules to be considered during recitation are discussed. In the third part, it is emphasized that reading the Qur'an with a beautiful voice is accepted as a symbol of value and respectability in society, and some important personalities who perform the Qur'an and music together are introduced. In the conclusion, it is stated that a beautiful recitation is affected by factors such as vocal training, sound systems, the conditions of the reading environment, and the use of microphones, and it is stated that the presentation of recitation should be based on the content.
