Abstract (EN)

Since the 1980's the acceleration of globalization has shaped and transformed the economic structure of the developed and developing countries. This transformation has weakened the nation-states' influence on national economic strategies, making them dependent on certain establishments. As states fail to preserve their influence on national economy, they have been seeking solutions to sustain financial stability. In order to achieve it, fiscal policy is used to enchance the effectiveness of the public budget. It is aimed to maintain the fiscal discipline through delimitation in finance while planning the fiscal budget. With the effect of supranational institutions such as the EU and IMF, fiscal discipline in public finance became important in Turkey and various laws were made to provide agreement with the new economic system of the state. In this context, this study inspected the effect of globalization on Turkish public finance in a chronological order after January 24 decisions.
