Eğirdir urban area and geomorphology in terms of the region of settlement

The study area is in the Antalya area in Akdeniz Region and coversapproximately 414 km². E irdir Urban Area has been generally founded on hillsiderubbles and uneven areas where is beneath Sivri Tepe in Davraz Mountain Mass whichis a mountain of West Tourus Mountains. Average altitude is 918 meters.The city of E irdir which is at the South of E irdir Lake has a suitable andnatural settlement and suitable conditions for people. Today the centre of the city whichis on seaboard and on an island has nat got suitable geomorphological conditions forsettlement. Because of that it is carrying on its development on geomorphological unitswhich have hillside rubbles and allunal cones. For that matter first class agriculturalareas are in the city centre near buildings.In this study, the relationships of the geomorphological properties and problemsof E irdir and nearby surroundings have been examined with functions anddevelopments of the city of E irdir.
