Determination of radon and radium concentrations in the drinking water around the Kutahya city

There are many methods to determine 222Rn and 226Ra concentration in waters. In this study, the Rn-222 and Ra-226 concentrations of 30 samples collected from the drinking water of Kütahya city were determined by using the Collector Chamber Method. Additionally, pH, conductivity, water temperature, pressure, humidity, and elevation values were measured according to sampling coordinates during sample survey.As a result of this study, when we compared our results with USEPA and other international health organizations limits, the radon concentrations in some sampling points were determined higher than these limits.
