The interaction of furniture design-production process in Kütahya furniture manufacturing indusrty

In this study, it is aimed at putting forth the available situations presented under the main headings such as the furniture design, production process, the use of capacity, the machine park and technology of small and medium size managements operating in the furniture sector of Turkey and determining the problems appeared and producing solutions for these problems.In addition to this, it is aimed putting forth the furniture design strategies of managements and the positive effects of technological developments on the furniture design and the users? benefits.For this reason, in this thesis study whose subject is ?Interaction of Furniture Design-Production Process in Kutahya Furniture Manufacturing Industry?, furniture managements carrying out small and medium size workshop type production in Fatih Industry Site, Yeni Industry Site, Ahi Industry Site in Kütahya have been researched. A questionnaire of search which is developed suitable for the purpose of research has been applied to the managers of 107 managements and the datum obtained has been evaluated statistically.As a result, the majority of production problems are related to the faults of the furniture design and the copy designs are used commonly. Educated designers and qualified work force aren?t employed. The managements don?t have an furniture design unit and therefore, the capacity of the management can?t be used properly.Key words: Interior equipment elements, Interior design, House, Furniture, Production.
