Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, the number of people who die from colorectal cancer is increasing. Angiogenesis plays a role in the development and spread of tumors. Inhibition of new vessel formation is an important strategy in the fight against cancer as it will inhibit tumor growth. Exopolysaccharides from lactic acid bacteria are known to have antioxidant, immunomodulatory, anti-biofilm and anti-tumor effects. Angiogenesis occurs in cancer. Angiogenesis is very important for tumor growth and metastasis. Cancer cells secrete vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), inducing the proliferation of endothelial cells in their own and nearby vessels, which then form new blood vessels and surround the tumor. In this thesis, the effects of exopolysaccharide obtained from orally isolated Lactobacillus rhamnosus G28.2 on human colon adenocarcinoma cells (Caco-2) and human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) proliferation MTT test was investigated. Anti-angiogenic effect of HUVEC, which is a healthy cell line, was determined by tube formation test. As a result of this study, LAB-EPS showed cytotoxic properties of Caco-2 and HUVEC cells by affecting cell proliferation concentrations of 3000-4000-5000 and 6000 µg / ml angiogenesis formation. Based on these findings, it is thought that LAB-EPS may be a biopharmaceutical
