Abstract (EN)

In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effect of intraoperative trendelenburg position time on intracranial pressure increase in patients who underwent total laparoscopic hysterectomy, by measuring optic nerve sheath diameter. Female patients over 18 years of age with ASA physical classification I-III were included in the study. Known chronic lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, glaucoma, previous eye surgery diabetic retinopathy, intracranial mass/hydrocephalus, intracranial operation, ASA IV, optic neuritis, patients with previous history of cerebral operation were excluded. A total of 4 measurements were taken in the axial and sagittal planes for both eyes separately at the next 30.min., 60.min., 75.min., 90.min. and 5 minutes after taking the supine at the end of the case, and the arithmetic mean of the ONSD was recorded as the average. It was found that there was a significant increase in Trendelenburg position time and ONSD. In conclusion, the effect of intraoperative trendelenburg position time on intracranial pressure in patients who underwent total laparoscopic hysterectomy can be followed by ultrasonographic optic nerve sheath diameter measurement, which is a noninvasive method.
