Abstract (EN)

An important part of the studies on Old, New Turkish literatüre and Folk literature is the translation and review articles of verse texts written in Ottoman Turkish. The most important reason in this regard is the diversity of the material in poetic works and the artistic power of the poem. In addition, in recent years, research articles on poetry journals have been increasing day by day. However, as prose works are brought into today's Turkish, prose will be as strong as verse. In particular, we wanted to contribute to the lātifes in the magazine, which is one of the prose works, both in terms of humor and storytelling. The work called Letāif-i Kemālī of İbrahim Kemālī, which is the subject of our study, is an example of a prose story consisting of long jokes. The work is important in terms of understanding the 19th century prose and storytelling tradition and the jokes in this narrative tradition. Our work consists of three parts. In Chapter 1, after determining the definition, classification and place of letāifs in the magazine, we tried to determine the place of Letāif-i Kemālī among them. In the 2nd Chapter, after the information about the type and subject of the work called Letāif-i Kemālī and the copyist, summaries of the nine separate stories in the work are given. The stories in the work are mentioned on the event, time, people and place. Some motifs and narrative styles in the stories are mentioned. In the third chapter, the transcription of the work is tried to be given. The author of the work is İbrahim Kemālī, and he showed that the stories are subtle stories because he gave the title Letāif-i Kemālī to the work. While the plots are given in a style that can be understood by the public, Arabic and Persian phrases and words are also included. The stories were examined with the frame story technique and were handled by telling a story within a story. The purpose of writing letāifs is to have a good time, to have fun while reading, and to learn from these stories.
