Abstract (EN)

Since the dawn of human existence in nature, humans have inevitably been in relationships with other individuals and human societies. Thus, it is natural for humans to require a certain set of regulatory rules among themselves. This study aims to examine the overarching structures of two major political and economic systems, namely liberal and socialist regimes, which are heavily burdened with disinformation, and tries to show what they promise. The focus will be on outlining what each system promises. The aforementioned ideologies will be broadly examined through a comparison of the governing styles, policies implemented, and outcomes of East Germany, a socialist state established with support from the USSR in place of Nazi Germany after World War II, and West Germany, supported by the Western bloc (Britain, USA) and adopting liberal policies. This comparison will be based on official data. The primary objective of this comparison is to provide an objective understanding, through documented evidence, of the historical circumstances of East and West Germany, which implemented the promises of liberal and socialist ideologies.
