Abstract (EN)
At the present time organizations need not only managers who are focused on their duties, but also leaders who care about innovation and intellectual capital, emphasize their leadership skills, provide services and strive to better meet the expectations of the field, and who are courageous and determined to advance their organization. Organizational commitment is the loyalty of working individuals to their organizations and is important in terms of improving service and product quality. Leadership style is of great importance in achieving organizational goals and objectives and effectively working individuals working in the organization. In this respect, the main purpose of this study is to examine whether there is any relationship between the leadership behaviors of the managers in hospitals and the loyalty of X and Y generations employees to their organizations, and if so, to what extent. The research was conducted by applying a questionnaire to the personnel working in İstanbul Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital. The questionnaires were completed by sending a link and sending them via the internet and SPSS 22 package program was used for analysis. Survey data and demographic information were analyzed with different statistical methods. It was found that autocratic leadership behaviors had a positive relationship with emotional commitment and democratic and full freedom leadership behaviors had a positive relationship with emotional and normative commitment. It was concluded that none of the leadership behavior styles were associated with continuity commitment. It was also found that generation Y cares more about democratic leadership management style than the type of leadership that provides autocratic and full freedom.
