An investigation on the evaluation of undergraduate level of Turkish music cello education programs and trainer's views

In this research, it is aimed to evaluate the undergraduate Turkish music cello education and pedagogues' views the Turkish music concervatories. The literature review was made and with the data obtained theoretical information was give in the first section. Additionally in the study, it is aimed to determine the right and left hand techniques of the pieces that are thought to be performed in the mid-term and final exams in cello education. This research is a descriptive study and survey model is used. The evaluations on subject are discussed in detail in the Findings andf Comments section. The information obtained from the questionnaire and interview forms developed were interpreted in the findings section and suggestions were made. In addition, the pieces chosen were notated and fingering assigned were evaluated by two experts in the field. It is considered that the study will make important contributions to the TM cello education in the Turkish Music Concervatories and will constitute a source for further studies.
