Determination of the level of sportsmanship orientation of secondary education students who have licensed sports

This research was carried out with the aim of "Examining the sportsmanship orientation levels of the students who are licensed in secondary education institutions".The sample group of the study consists of 324 students studying in secondary education institutions in the Merkez district of Bolu province and doing sports under license.Multi-dimensional Sportsmanship Orientation Scale developed by Vallerand,Briere,Blanchart, and Provencher and adapted to Turkish language by Sezen Balçıkanlı was used to collect research data.In the analysis of the data, the homogeneity was examined using the Levene Test and the normality of the distribution was examined by the Kolmogrov Smirnov test.Since the data for all analyzes were normally distributed, independent groups t-test was used to compare two unrelated samples.Comparison of more than two unrelated samples was made by one-way analysis of variance. As a result of the study, no statistically significant difference was found according to class level,sports age and sports type. According to the gender variable , a significant difference was found in favor of female students in the "Respect to Management and Rules" subdimension.According to the sports branch variable, a significant difference was found in the "Compliance with Social Norms", " Respect to Management and Rules"sub-dimensions.In addition, significant differences were determined in the sub-dimensions of "Compliance with Social Norms", "Respect to Management and Rules" and "Respect to Competitor" according to the weekly training time.
