Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the financial literacy levels of high school students and to determine the relationship between financial literacy levels and mathematics course success. In this study, 540 high school students aged 14-19 were educated in the 2017-2018 academic year in the different school types in Bağcılar District of Istanbul province; students ' financial literacy, money management self-efficacy perceptions, monetary behavior perceptions, Financial Information levels and mathematical course achievements were determined and the subjects were examined in terms of the socio-economic, demographic and descriptive characteristics of the students. Students' financial literacy, money management self-efficacy perceptions, money behavior perceptions, and mathematics course success is good, financial information is medium level. As a data collection tool, the "financial literacy and money management perception scale" developed by Güvenç (2016) was used in the study. Study were analyzed using the SPSS 23.00 program and the Bonferroni test from T-test, ANOVA and post hoc tests. According to the results obtained from the research, high school students sampling the study were found to have a significant correlation between the mathematical grade and the gender, class, age, school type, monthly total weekly allowance amounts, while there was no positive significant correlation between the mother and father education level variables. It can be said that the financial literacy of high school students, which is the sample of the study, varies according to the sociodemogrofic characteristics of individuals and their families ' financial guidance. It can be said that the data found in high school students' education management, education program and economy plan will contribute significantly.
