Abstract (EN)
In this study, WC, B4C and FeCrC powders were alloyed to the surface of low carbon steel material by using Magmaweld brand FCO 510 1.6 mm core electrode with MAG welding method. Two different current strengths (200A and 250A) were used in the surface alloy layers realized by MAG welding method. The surface area of alloyed materials were taken from the welding region and the properties of the coating such as hardness, microstructure and abrasion were examined. Optical microscopy, electron microscopy (SEM) and EDS analysis were used in microstructure studies. Hardness values obtained from alloyed sample surfaces were investigated. When the abrasion resistance was compared, it was found that the wear amount of the surface alloyed samples with B4C was lower.
