Determination of the effect of magnesium nanoparticle on the in vitro rejeneration of cowpea (Vigna unguiculata L. Walp)

Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to determine the effect of different doses of MgO NP on in vitro regeneration in cowpea forage species. Different doses of Magnesium nanoparticles were included in the research. The research was conducted in 4 recurrence according to the factorial experimental designs based on full chance. In the study Morphogenesis, Callus formation rate (%), number of shoot (pcs), shoot formation rate (%), shoot length (cm), shoot number per explant (pcs), root formation rate (%), number of roots per explant (pcs), root length (cm) were examined. According to the findings, the effect of different doses of MgO NP applied to the cowpeas on all characters was found to be significant. The best results in morphogenesis were obtained from Mg3NP (185 mg), Mg4NP (370 mg) and Mg3NP (555 mg). When the doses were compared in terms of shoot formation rate, the highest shoot formation rate was obtained from Mg5NP (555 mg) application with 82.50% and Mg4NP (370 mg) application with 72.50%. The highest rates in shoot number, number of shoots per explant and shoot length were obtained respectively from Mg4 (370 mg) application as 61.25 (pcs) 17.50 (pcs) and 2.075 (pcs). The highest rates in root formation ratio were obtained from Mg1 (control) 27.50%, Mg2 (370 mg) 27.50% and Mg4NP (370mg) applications. Mg2 (370 mg) application with 6.75 (pcs) in root number per explant, Mg3NP (555 mg) application with 10% and Mg4NP (370 mg) application with 9.50% in callus formation and Mg2 (370 mg) application with 1.575 (cm) in root length have given the highest rates. In conclusion: Among the parameters examined, Mg4NP (370 mg) application has given the best result and it has been concluded that it can be recommended for the subsequent studies.
