This study was planned to investigate the effect of early physiotherapy on biochemical parameters in major burn patients. Ten women (50%) and 10 men (50%) who aged 21-47 years, were included in the our study. The participants were divided into two groups that one for treatment and the other for control group. In the treatment group, patients are admitted to the physiotherapy program from the first day they have been hospitalized, in addition to their routine treatment (medical, surgery, etc.), for 4 days per week. It consisting of parameters such as early mobilization and ambulance training, pulmonary physiotherapy, active and passive normal joint movement exercises. The control group consisted of patients who did not want to receive physiotherapy. All patients included in the study were evaluated weekly for 6 weeks after admission to the hospital. Parameters such as demographic information, characteristics of burn injury, total protein, c-reactive protein, fibronectin, transferrin and prealbumin were evaluated. When the results obtained are considered; there was a significant difference in favor of the treatment group in all biochemical parameters (p<0.05). A significant increase was observed from 2nd week in the prealbumin values which the disease was thought to have a direct impact on the clinical course and the patient's mortality in the treatment group. (p<0.05). A significant increase was observed fibronectin which also reports acute wound healing in all phases of wound healing from the 4th week in the treatment (p <0.05). In conclusion, we believe that early physiotherapy should be included in the treatment plan in order to reduce the etiology of hypermetabolic response after major burns.
