?Door? and ?door knobs? are concepts which have great associations as an image about cultural life. Door, while showing concrete and physical materials as a building component sustaining functionality about architectural place, it also makes a reference to an abstract extent which designates inside and outside of the door. Door knobs are mysterious objects which have amulet power about connotation world related to door. These mysterious objects connecting the ?confidential? about individual life with ?open? ones about socialization are maintaining their presence as an archaic value. Art has a great value in getting these objects into our mental world again as experience content about former cultural life. Studies are products of trials which are experienced in the designs created in conception, the period of creating the pictures and the excitement about the period. These created pictures have been effective in determining the content of the thesis.In accordance with this research, firstly determining the research subjects as Malatya?s houses, doors, the techniques of making door knobs, the concept of image as an indispensable element in the plastic arts and the presentation facilities of image in visual arts, some views and examples about this subject are included.Furthermore, in this period the solution of plastic and technique problems are handled with the logic of visual expression. The transformation of the door knob which is handled in the scope of the research to an image is tried to be shown with a subjective manner while evaluating the related images in the pictures. Explicating the visuality of the object and form- content, color, spot relationships in terms of meaning, various compositions are created. In this context, it is tried to reach the aimed plastic integrity. It is tried to emphasize the transformation of door knobs to an image of visual arts.Key words: Door knob, object, picture, image.
