Abstract (EN)

VII-SUMMARYIn this study; in malignant melanomas which are highly potential invasive andmetastatic; it had been treated the relationship between immunhistochemical expressed of thehistopathological parameters, matrix metalloproteinases and tissue inhibitors. In the 70 primerinvasive cutaneous malignant melanomas events; which had been studied in this research; ithad re-evaluated as histopathological for tumor thickness of Breslow, Clark level, existing ofulceration, histological types, mitotic rate, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, vertical and radialgrowth phase. Furthermore; the MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2 had beenimmunohistochemical studied and the violence and percentage of painting had been arranged. The existing of correlation between histopathological and immunohistochemical results hadbeen as statistical searched. In the consistence with the other searches in this study; we have found a statisticallysignificant relationship between tumor thickness for Breslow, Clark level, mitotic rate, existing of ulceration, which are the histopathologic parameters. There had been not foundany correlation between histologic types and other histopathologic parameters. The existing of correlation between MMP-2 expression and tumor thickness forBreslow and existing of ulceration, had been interpreted that the MMP-2 is in correlation withprognosis but is not a free prognostic parameter. In spite of ; it has been submitted that MMP-9 is effective in melanomas which is in radial growth phase ; in this study we have detectedalso the increasing of immunohistochemical expression beside the increasing of tumorthickness for Breslow. The unappointment of correlation between MMP-2 and TIMP-2 whichis known as tissue inhibitors of MMP-2; has been thought because of the effects that are freeof MMP?s. For example inhibiting the tumor angiogenesis alone. TIMP-1 has not shown anycorrelation with any known histopathologic parameters. TIMP-2 has shown an expressivecorrelation with mitotic rate and TIL. Although there was a statistically correlation betweenTIMP?s, there had not been determined any statistical expressive correlation between MMP?sand TIMP?s.In result; it has been ascertained that there is a correlation between histopathologicparameters, which take a role in appointing the prognosis of malignant melanomas. Thisparameters includes; tumor thickness for Breslow, Clark level, mitotic rate and ulceration.Because of there are correlation between increasing of expression for MMP-2 and MMP-9and increasing of tumor deepness for Breslow; these support the consequence of theparameters in invasion.
