The possibility of being of women in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger and Simone de Beauvoir

The fact that women realize their existence and find their own identity has been the subject of many studies. Also The Second Sex is a work in which Simone de Beauvoir focusing with the reasons for the secondary status of women. The most important thing that distinguishes Simone de Beauvoir's work from others is the consent of the woman to be an object. For this reason, according to her the woman is actually an accomplice. This work, inspired by Beauvoir's approach, attempts to make a synthesis with Heidegger's philosophy of existence. Because it is thought that Heidegger's explanations for the existence of Being, especially in his work Being and Time, contain similar contents with Beauvoir's understanding that Being should take responsibility. In recent years, it is common to think of Beauvoir with Heidegger rather than reading with Sartre or Hegel, especially in foreign literature. Therefore, reading Beauvoir's analysis on women with Heideggerian concepts may support the realization of women's being. Acting with the view that women are in the field of captivity, active action in passive status, this study plans to offer a systematized way for women to leave this status. For this purpose, the relationship between feminism and woman will be touched upon through the relationship that Heidegger established in the fields of "Mitsein" and "das Man". At the same time, it will be mentioned what kind of openings can be made by studies that analyze women's inclusion of feminist feeling and concepts in their lives.
